Are you passionate about Healthcare Administration? Are you currently doing research on a topic that you think other HLNDV members could learn from? Do you have a case-study that highlights the work on-going in your organization or across the region? Are there "Hot Topics" that other HLNDV newsletters have missed? Here is your chance to publish and reach Delaware Valley's Healthcare Leaders.

Please send relevant articles and photographs to enrich the newsletter and make it truly highlight the work undertaken by the Delaware Valley Healthcare Leaders! The articles should capture latest innovations as well as news and research around topics like Patient Safety and Quality, Patient Flow, Workforce Management and Efficiency to name a few!

The articles should be between 300 and 600 words.

    November 5:  7th Annual Lee White Innovation

    Innovation, technology, and access to care were some of the discussion points at the 7th Annual Lee White Innovation Institute held on November 5, 2014 at The Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, PA.  There were over 100 attendees including new HLNDV members.

    The moderator for this event was Robert I. Field, JD, PhD, MPH who did a wonderful job keeping the audience and the panelists engaged.  The event's speakers included Dr. Carrie L. Kovarik from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Richard K. Murray from Merck, and Wayne Weisman, JD a managing partner from SCP Vitalife Partners.     September 11, 2014: Networking for Career Success

    On September 11th, approximately 40 career-hungry individuals stopped by the Corinthian Yacht Club to hear J. Larry Tyler, FACHE, FHFMA, FAAHCE, CMPE, Chairman and CEO, Tyler & Company give his speech on "Networking for Career Success." Everytone walked away with new-found skills on how to network effectively and how to practice networking skills in a "low key" manner. Click here to see full photo album from the event.


    September 22, 2014: Delaware Food Bank Volunteering

    A hearty group of volunteers got together to help organize and distribute food at a trailer home community on behalf of the Food Bank of Delaware.Thanks to all who attended!


    October 18, 2014, Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Opportunity

    On Saturday, October 18, nine volunteers from HLNDV joined together to work on a Habitat for Humanity project in south Philly neighborhood. The group helped the Habitat for Humanity team and sponsor family members to install new hardwood flooring, put up siding and insulation, and paint the front of two homes. A sponsorship donation from HLNDV helped to support the day and Habitat's mission to provide an affordable housing solution for hard-working families in need.
